Grand Theft Auto VI will reportedly arrive on PC in the first quarter of 2027, according to an October 13 GamesBeat report citing four sources familiar with Rockstar’s plans.

This is not an official announcement. Rockstar has not commented, and neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has made any public statement about a PC version at all. The official platform list remains PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Why a four-month gap would be unusual

If the report holds, the PC version would land roughly four months after the November 19, 2026 console launch. That is dramatically faster than the series’ own precedent: the GTA 5 PC port was not even announced until the year after the PS3 and Xbox 360 release, and shipped about 19 months later.

Community speculation ties the compressed window to PS5 emulation progress, with the argument being that Rockstar would rather sell a PC version than watch an emulated one circulate. That reasoning is plausible but entirely unverified.

What this means if you are a PC player

There is no PC pre-order, no system requirements list, and no store page. Until Rockstar announces one, treat Q1 2027 as a credible report rather than a date you can plan around. Earlier reports pointing at an early-2026 PC launch did not pan out.
