Rockstar has named the first six radio stations in Grand Theft Auto VI, and the line-up is the most star-heavy in the series’ history. The announcement also confirmed two genuinely new features: on-demand podcasts, and the ability to keep listening to music on foot.
The six confirmed stations
Cocoteo FM covers modern Latin music, hosted by Bad Bunny as “El Martillo” and RaiNao as “La Gata”.
Back Country Radio handles country and outlaw, with Morgan Wallen hosting as “MW” and Lana Del Rey as “Delta Dawne”. It also carries a roving reporter segment — Jeremy Dufrene as “Mud Dog Mike” — which is a first for GTA radio.
AfroBank FM brings African music, amapiano and 3-step, hosted by Burna Boy and Palms Trax. No previous Grand Theft Auto has carried this genre set.
The Chamber 106.6 is classic metal, hosted by two members of Slayer: Kerry King and Tom Araya, playing Black Sabbath, Pantera and Slayer.
Flash FM is the nostalgia pick — the Vice City staple returns, now hosted by Robyn and model Alex Consani.
Dirty South Classics covers regional rap and hip-hop. Its full host line-up has not been confirmed.
The two features that actually change how you play
The bigger story is structural. Rockstar confirmed on-demand podcasts — you start them when you want, whether you are walking or driving, rather than catching whatever is broadcasting.
And headphones and earbuds let music keep playing after you step out of a vehicle. Every previous GTA cut the radio dead at the car door. For a game that wants you exploring Leonida on foot, that is a meaningful change.
What is still unknown
Rockstar says more stations are coming and has hinted at Classic Rock, Modern Hip-Hop, Dance, Eighties, Electronic, Blues, Ballads and Talk Radio. The final station count has not been confirmed. Eighteen songs have been revealed so far, three per station, and each station can be sampled as a two-minute preview on Rockstar’s official music page.
